This early morning was one of those “very warm and 110% humidity” mornings. Muggy. Good training weather though. That’s what we’re out there for. I was absolutely soaked and dripping in no time.

Today’s run was a 10.6 mile rolling hills route. Pace was 9:44. Weight was 148.6.

A mild and very humid early morning for a run. Clear skies and not much wind at all.

Training now is trying to get into more of a steady-state, “who cares about the distance” mindset. Just go. Take it not too hard and at a managaable long-term pace.

Today’s run was a 10.6 mile rolling hills course. Pace was 9:53. Weight was 147.4.

This morning was a tough one to get up and get going. So easy to just skip a day. Weather was fine, with just a few light sprinkles on the first few miles. Humid but not “warm.”

Today’s run was a 5.3 mile mostly flat route. Pace was 9:37. Weight was 149.2.

Today’s ride was a 7.1 mile mostly flat route in a rainstorm. Hard to see sometimes. I should get myself a pair of riding glasses. Pace was 4:31. Weight was 148.6.

A mild, humid morning for a long run. Ran later in the morning to get some training time around when races are run. Not too warm or sunny.

Today’s run was a 14.4 mile fairly flat route. Pace was an easier 9:54. Weight was 148.2.

Waited a bit this morning so I could go out at about 8:30. Early morning running doesn’t really involve the Sun but obviously races do. Still mostly cloudy and mild (70) with some wind, but definitely humid.

Today’s run was a 10.73 mile hills route. Pace was 9:35. Weight was 148.4.

Training Log 07/09/2021

After giving the left foot a few days off, it’s time to try it and see how the tendons right at the top of the foot are feeling. No idea why my Hpka Carbon X2 shoe tongue seemed to dig into that area on Sunday. I put some padding in and didn’t tie the shoe too tight, and all went OK. Not a long run at all but enough for a test.

Today’s run was a 3.75 mile hills route. Pace was 9:44. Weight was 148.8.

Today was a cross-training, recovery kind of day. Nice and easy. Good thing, since there was quite a bit of yard work to do.

Today’s cycling route was an 8.05 mile rolling hills course. Pace was 4:58. Weight was 150.0.

A cool and very damp early morning for a long run. Tried using Beta Fuel from SIS for the first time in a long time. That mixed with SIS Go Electrolyte seemed, at least for today, to be a very good combination. Experiment, experiment, experiment.

Today’s run was a 17.3 mile rolling hills route. Pace was 9:43. Weight was 149.2.
