Starting a combined running/biking routine. Try anything to get going!

Today’s run was a short 0.64 mile flat route. The ride was a 4.2 mile mildly rolling route. Running pace was 9:51.

One more try at a short run. Nice, flat route in Harrisburg. Not much pain at all in the knee. We’ll see how it feels later in the day.

Today’s run was a short 2.08 mile mostly flat route. Pace was 9:25.

Adding some distance to the rides. It isn’t a bad way to cross-train at all. I did something like this last year and I remember not having any issues at all with running pace.

Today’s ride was a 9.45 mile rolling hills route. Pace was 4:47.

No knee issues when riding. It’s strictly an impact-type pain, deep in the center of the joint. I think that the hardest part is taking the time to heal and not rushing back to running. I’m not known for my patience.

Today’s ride was a rolling 4.77 mile route. Pace was 5:09.

Well, the knee didn’t like the run on May 9th at all. Time to “switch gears:”

  • Take about a week and just rest
  • Start some street work on the bike.

Today’s ride was an easy 4.21 mile mildly rolling route. Pace was 5:06.

Back to it, after a few days of knee rest. Break time is over. Let’s see how the knee responds.

Today’s run was an 8.05 mile rolling hills route. Pace was 9:58. Weight was 151.0.
