Some runs you feel energetic. Some you feel like there’s nothing in the tank. Today was more the latter. Whatever. We don’t quit.

A light, early run. Temps around 35 and a very light drizzle. Today is one of those short recovery days between the longer runs. Sundays are now “long run Sundays,” so get out on the road today but don’t go nuts.
Today’s run was a 2.32 mile rather flat route, with the short 10+% grade hill at the end. Pace was 9:45. Weight was 147.0.
A mild (for December) rainy early morning. Temperatures around 40 degrees. I didn’t used to like the rain, but a race several years ago in a storm (coming down in buckets) cured me of that. In several places it was a river of water over six inches deep. Wow — it’s actually kinda fun.
Putting in the miles now pays off. Cycling teams have started their training for 2023. Of course, their training camps in places like Spain are a bit more balmy.
Today’s run was an 8.05 mile rolling hills route. Pace was 9:37. Weight was 146.0.
A cold, windy early morning. Wind chill was around 11. On one stretch it really blew hard straight on. About froze my nose off. Time to dig out that face mask that I bought a few years ago for skiing.
Today’s run was a 5.24 mile hills route, including the short 10+% grade hill twice. Pace was 9:51. Weight was 146.2.
OK, it’s definitely winter. Temperature was about 19 degrees this morning. Fortunately, the snow from Monday is mostly clear from the berms so that I can at least see what I’m potentially stepping on or into.
Today’s run was a 10.6 mile rolling hills route. Pace was 9:53. Weight was 146.8.
A cool/cold, cloudy, breezy early morning for a run. Definitely the early winter. No problem — winter is the time to put the work in. Hopefully there won’t be too many snowed-out days!
Today’s run was a rolling hills 10.6 mile route. Pace was 9:30. Weight was 145.6.
A very nice, mild morning for a run. It’s December, and the temperature at 5AM is 51 degrees. It’ll probably be below zero in a day or two (knowing my luck), so enjoy it while it lasts.
Today’s run was a 4.83 hills route, including two climbs of the short 10+% grade hill. Pace was 9:25. Weight was 145.6.
Back to it. It’s been a rough few days. Sometimes things come up that you need to deal with.
Today’s run was a 4.83 mile hills route, including the short 10+% grade hill twice. Pace was 9:45. Weight was 146.6.
It rained and blew yesterday late afternoon and into the evening. That means that the roads have debris along the berms. Not too bad as it turns out. Had to dodge around a few things.
Today’s run was a 10.6 mile rolling hills route. Pace was 10:03. Didn’t feel like the distance was a stretch, which is progress. Weight was 146.4.
Nice, mild (for late November) morning for a run. Taking it easy and not pushing anything is not my strongest characteristic, but “one thing at a time” with the knee is top priority right now. If it takes longer then it takes longer.
Today’s run was a 4.83 mile hills route that included running the short 10%+ grade hill twice. Pace was an annoying 10:04. Weight was 146.2.
