Waited a bit this morning so I could go out at about 8:30. Early morning running doesn’t really involve the Sun but obviously races do. Still mostly cloudy and mild (70) with some wind, but definitely humid.
Today’s run was a 10.73 mile hills route. Pace was 9:35. Weight was 148.4.
After giving the left foot a few days off, it’s time to try it and see how the tendons right at the top of the foot are feeling. No idea why my Hpka Carbon X2 shoe tongue seemed to dig into that area on Sunday. I put some padding in and didn’t tie the shoe too tight, and all went OK. Not a long run at all but enough for a test.

Today was a cross-training, recovery kind of day. Nice and easy. Good thing, since there was quite a bit of yard work to do.

A cool and very damp early morning for a long run. Tried using Beta Fuel from SIS for the first time in a long time. That mixed with SIS Go Electrolyte seemed, at least for today, to be a very good combination. Experiment, experiment, experiment.

Some days the training run isn’t too bad. Other days it feels like you’re running through quicksand. Today was closer to the latter. Just a day to put your head down and grind it out.
