Training Log 10/06/2022

Nice, mild morning for a run. The knee is getting better. Still feel a few things, but it’s feeling progressively better as the days go by.

Today’s run was the 1.51 mile most flat route with a short 10%+ grade hill at the end. Pace was 9:55. Weight was 146.8.

Training Log 10/04/2022

Another nice morning for a knee recovery run. The toughest part of it all is being patient and not push. There’s intermittent mild “discomfort,” but it’s a discomfort that feels like something that was injured complaining a bit that it’s being asked to do work again.

Today’s run was the same 1.51 mile mostly flat with a short 10%+ grade hill at the end route. Pace was 9:28. Weight was 149.2/

Training Log 10/03/2022

Very comfortable morning for a run. 50 degrees and breezy.

The knee is interesting. I can feel a few things at different times. The plan is to stay at this distance for a while and ramp up when there isn’t anything noticeable.

Today’s run was the same 1.51 mile mostly flat route with a short 10+% grade hill at the end. Pace was 9:57. Weight was 149.0.

Training Log 10/01/2022

Got a run in before the remnants of Hurricane Ian arrived. 46 degrees and rain is, I must admit, not the most pleasant of conditions. I’ll take snow any day.

Today’s run was a 1.51 mile rather flat route with a short 10+% grade hill at the end. Pace was 10:16. Weight was 148.4.

Training Log 09/30/2022

Back to it. Again. Came back too fast a few weeks ago. The plan now is to step the training gradually. This morning was pretty much pain free. Better than even yesterday’s walk/light run.

Today’s light run was a 1.04 mile mostly flat route. Pace was an easy 10:32. Weight was 147.0.

Training Log 09/04/2022

A rather warm, baking later morning for a run. A breeze at times, but it’s not really cooling at all. Good training weather. Fight through it.

Today’s run was a 5.0 hills route. Pace was 9:29.

Training Log 09/03/2022

Decided to take yesterday off. The knee isn’t really bad at all, so take a break for a day to not rush. One of the toughest things is to ramp up slowly.

Today’s run was a later-morning, sunny and rolling 2.48 mile route, with the short 10+% grade hill near the end. Pace was 9:26.

Training Log 09/01/2022

A very clear, cool morning for an early run. Temperature around 60 degrees, no wind, and not a cloud in the sky. I can still feel things in the knee, but it’s seems to be transient. It comes and goes on the run. They’re also only mild. Fingers crossed.

Today’s run was the same 2.47 mile mostly flat route as yesterday. It includes a short, 10+% hill at the end. Pace was 9:26.

Training Log 08/31/2002

A warm, humid, rainy early morning. Running in the rain never bothered me, unless it’s really cold. Rain is like liquid coolant.

Today’s run was a 2.47 mile rather flat-ish route. Pace was 9:43.
