Winter does present a few “challenges.” This morning we had freezing rain. Temperature around 33 degrees. Fortunately, I didn’t run into much at all, except for the black ice in the berms that I was already on the lookout for. Also in several places there’s snow/ice sticking out into the berms and lanes due to driveway plowing, main road plows not clearing into the berms, etc. It’s not much of an issue if you’re out early to avoid most of the traffic.
Today’s easy run was a short 2.17 mile mildly rolling route. Pace was about 10:30. Total climb was only 110 feet.
