Sundays are good days for early morning roadwork. Not too many people out at 6AM. Traffic during the week isn’t really that bad, but there are a few places that are busy.

Today was the Erie Marathon. It’s discouraging to skip races due to injury. It is what it is, though. Stop and let the hamstring heal. I’ll be missing both races in October as well.

Since getting back from Wyoming, I’ve been experiencing some sort of allergic reaction to something. Hives and the accompanying itching makes for not much sleep at night. Beats me what’s going on.

Today’s ride was a 13.83 mile rolling hills route. Pace was about 4:55. Total climb around 665 feet.

Nice early morning for a ride. Weekend early mornings aren’t so crazy at all with traffic. Also, the route I rode today is marked as a route cyclists will be on.

Today’s ride was a 5.27 mile hills route, including a short 10+% grade at the end. Pace was 4:40. Total climb was about 325 feet.

Hamstring is still very annoyed. I suspect that it’s going to take some time to get to the point where running is doable. Nuts. Work in some bike time to keep up some fitness.

Today’s ride was a 13.83 mile rolling hills route. Pace was about 5:08. Total climb around 665 feet.

One more nice early morning for a ride. Temperature around 63 and clear. We’re going to pay for this great weather sometime shortly.

The hamstring is still painful, but it is getting better. I’m hoping that the riding both keeps some fitness up and also helps with the healing. I’d very much like to get back to running next week.

Today’s ride was a 5.12 mile hills route. Pace was 5:06. Total climb was about 275 feet.

Tried a few steps running this morning. No dice. I didn’t expect it to be better. OK, back to the bike.

Nice, windy, humid morning for a ride. Temperature in the low 70’s. One of the roads I’ve trained on in the past has been re-paved since I was last on it. Very glad to see that. Lots of holes to dodge before.

Today’s ride was a long 13.83 mile rolling hills route, consisting of my running route plus a road I trained on when on the bike. Good hills. Pace was around 5:00 (several stops for traffic at intersections). Total climb was about 665 feet.
